Put the grenade pin in your hand, so you understand who's boss, my defeat sleeps toe to toe with her success, oh, this is from, this is from, this is from Matilda

i got my a level results! i got a b in classics, a b in english language, and an a in english literature

obviously i wanted an a in classics but it was never meant to happen i don't think haha but yknow i'm really happy with what i've got and they've confirmed my place at uni too so i'm definitely going to live in wales in september :D

Just put back the car keys or somebody's going to get hurt who are you calling at this hour sit down come round I need you now we'll work it all out together we're getting nowhere tonight now sleep I promise it'll all seem better somehow in time

i had my english literature exam this morning..it wasn't that bad it was probably the neatest exam script i've ever handed in though because i just decided to take my time with it not that it improved my answer any

then i got home and my brother left work early and suggested that we went to the cinema so we went to see abraham lincoln: vampire hunter which of course as a premise is utterly ridiculous, but it wasn't actually a bad film it was very entertaining and there were some good twists..plus i like dominic cooper and i thought that the guy playing abraham lincoln was kinda fit before he 'aged'

so it's actually been an all right day interesting but i'm tired now i still had to go to work unfortunately..

And I keep looking for that blindfold faith lighting candles to a cynical saint who wants the last laugh at the fly trapped in the windowsill tape you can go right out of your mind trying to escape from the panicked paradox of day to day if you can't understand something then it's best to be afraid

it's my first day off work in agessss because i've got my english literature exam tomorrow (let's not talk about that) and i am so happy i'm just having a nice relaxed chilled out day i might write later i might not who knows the world is my oyster

down side is my brother and his wife are coming over later on..ysee she did a degree in graphic design and that's like her dream job and she's struggled getting proper jobs in it she finally got one but they won't offer her a pay rise and she went to wales to see a friend the other week and they saw a job being advertised in pembroke and she applied for it and got the job so chances are they'll be moving to pembrokeshire fairly soon which is weird but not that bad for me because i'll be an hour and a half away from them when i go to uni

but basically they're coming over to 'discuss it with us' and my other brother and my father aren't happy about the idea of them moving at all i can't help but feel like they wouldn't be so bothered if i wasn't going to uni this year as well, it's like in one go two of his children / siblings are moving away..i kind of get it but they've talked about moving to somewhere quieter before, it's been their goal to start a family somewhere nicer..oh i don't know i'm just not as bothered about it as i could be basically because in the end i'll be nearer to them..and i quite like the idea of having them closer

And I'd give up forever to touch you because I know that you feel me somehow you're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be and I don't want to go home right now

"Here's a knocking indeed! If a man were porter of hell-gate, he should have old turning the key. Knock, knock, knock! Who's there, i'the name of Beelzebub? Here's a farmer, that hanged himself on the expectation of plenty: come in time; have napkins enow about you; here you'll sweat for't. Knock, knock! Who's there, in the other devil's name? Faith, here's an equivocator, that could swear in both the scales against either scale; who committed treason enough for God's sake, yet could not equivocate heaven: O, come in, equivocator. Knock, knock, knock! Who's there? Faith, here's an English tailor come hither, for stealing out of a French hose: come in, tailor; here you may roast your goose. Knock, knock; never at quiet! What are you? But this place is too cold for hell. I'll devil-porter it no further: I had thought to have let in some of all professions that go the primrose way to the everlasting bonfire. Anon, anon! I pray you, remember the porter." - The Porter's Speech, Macbeth

You move slow like daytime drama and I'm boring like his songs so while I'm taking you for granted we'll be humming along well cross my heart and hope to I'm lying just to keep you here so reckless so so thoughtless so careless I could care less

we watched a really interesting documentary in english literature today we were learning about the plays in context so we looked at how the morality play could be applied to 'dr faustus' as it was a common genre of the time, and then the teacher put on a documentary

it was about equivocation and king james and shakespeare and the gunpowder plot and treason and execution and it was so fascinating

it's an area of history i enjoy and wish i knew more about tbh shakespeare has a special place in my heart anyway so i'm pretty much interested in anything to do with him

Inside out upside down twisting beside myself stop that now because you and I were never meant to be I think you'd better leave it's not safe in here I feel a weakness coming on

i was english literature today and my friends came in and one of them said 'i was reading this magazine and there was a woman in it who sold her dirty knickers to men on the internet and she makes £100 a day and about £7000 a month..would you sell your dirty knickers?'

for that money i so totally would, which is what i said to her and then we got onto a discussion about what you would/wouldn't do for a million pounds and the conclusion is

there is not much i wouldn't do for a million pounds, no exaggeration whatsoever just like my friend T whilst our other friends were much more cautious

i mean it shouldn't have come as such a shock to them considering i'd sell a stranger my dirty knickers for £100

does that make me a bad person i don't know haha

So I'll admit that it all started as a scam because every girl wanted you and a year round tan we know you're old but you're kind you're rich and your heart is dicky yes I knew that you wanted me

i am so sick of college. i've basically done all of my coursework for literature and language but i went over the word limit for my literature thematic comparison by over 700 words and now i have to edit out those 700 words

i've cut it down to 450 but that's still way too much i need to reduce it to 2000..fuck i don't even know and i haven't even started to revise classics properly it's such a nightmare not happy :(

oh and i finished reading 'vile bodies' on thursday..

i really enjoyed it, it was better than i expected and i loved the matter of fact style it was written in, plus there were some hilarious moments that actually made me cry laughing.

but i also found the storyline quite disappointing..i don't know i'm such a lover of happy endings and i knew that it wouldn't have a happy ending because i'd read enough about it, but i didn't expect to feel so disappointed? i also didn't expect to dislike nina as much as i did. i also didn't realise that agatha runcible would end up the way that she did i found the scenes with her very poignant and distressing to read, a definite contrast with the rest of the novel.

overall i really enjoyed reading it but i don't think that i'd read it again. i'm glad i've read it however, now i just have to analyse it for coursework haha

I know I have a fickle heart and a bitterness and a wandering eye and a heaviness in my head but don't your remember

i've decided and commenced on reading 'vile bodies' for my english lit coursework, hopefully comparing it to ts eliot poems

it was either that or reading alice's adventures in wonderland which obviously i am not opposed to doing again hahaha

If I am a clock then you are the time I'm patiently waiting and you're out of line and I'll be the question if you'll be the answer

i did my lit exam. it wasn't so bad. i think i did all right on the first question, which was something along the lines of 'to what extend do you agree that mephistopheles is a bewitching fiend'. the second one, about the gothic being about the consequences of the disruption of the natural order, was a little more evil haha.

just so glad it's over though. now i'm all out revising for other classes already haha and the exams are in june

He believes in the love of his god of all things but I find him wrapped up in all manner of sins the drugs that decieve him and the girls that believe him I can't control you I don't know you well these are the reasons I think that you're ill

ahhhh i've been revising literally all day my brain feels like mush :( i started revising at like 11.15 and i didn't stop until 5.15 when my mum & brother got home and i had to get ready for work. i had 2 hours at work and now i'm back...revising again

i've been doing a routine of revising for 20 minutes, then take a 10 minute break...it seems to be going well so far but it seriously could be so so so much better.

i just want to crawl into bed and sleep and forget that frankenstein/macbeth/faustus ever even existed, especially frankenstein because that book makes absolutely no sense to me at all it's just a jumble of words on a page that don't read well together in my opinion.

i've got college tomorrow too which is a bit of an arse tbh

I'm sorry I can't steal you I'm sorry I can't stay so I put band aids on your knees and watch you fly away

Can't believe I'm sitting an exam tomorrow and I haven't even read the texts since last June. Thank god its an open book exam, my last chance to do one if those haha.

I had to steal the books from the English room today the teacher wasn't impressed, he was all "how have you been revising without the books?" which is a fair comment I guess but I just said I had notes left from last year and he seemed to believe me...

Tomorrow is gonna be such a long day, exam at 9 till 11 then lessons till half 4 then walk home then in work at 6, finish at 8 and done...yeahhh I need my sleep now :P

She will kiss you till your lips bleed but she will not take her dress off, americana, tropicana

Did I mention I have a new idea for a story? To be written after the star books have been finished of course... They'd focus on Celtic mythology. Haha the thing that inspired it, though, was Irish/Scottish, but my natural instinct is to use Welsh mythology (I love Wales, just saying, and I think that their mythology is greatly undervalued). Let's see how this works out! I have a title, anyway.

Gonna go to sleep now :) Going out for a family meal tomorrow with my grandfather so we'll be up early then it's back to college and work on Monday. Haha I have my first exam on the 11th it's only a resit but I haven't reread any of the texts..you know I'm not even sure what poems we studied? It was Keats and Tennyson that's the extent of my knowledge. I think that The Lady of Shalott is involved in there somewhere...

I'm so going to fail that exam but who cares? I didn't want to resit English Literature anyway, I got an A last year and my teacher forced me into it. He's a sweetie though, he looks like voldemort when he shaves his head.
