ysee i couldn't sleep on saturday night i was just wide awake and i felt quite nervous but idk why so i got out harry potter and the philosopher's stone and just started to read it..i love rereading books but especially harry potter ones because it's like going back to childhood it's like putting on a comfy pair of shoes or drinking a cup of hot chocolate it's soothing and reassuring because i know the words inside out and i'm really enjoying it

i forgot how magic harry potter can be i know that sounds silly but it's like going to another world

today has been incredibly long but on the plus side i've done all of my reading on tiberius..now i just need to read all the stuff on claudius, and then i can start making notes..

all it has taught me is that the romans were right bastards when they wanted to be tbh because i was easily distracted by some of the little stories that tacitus is so fond of telling that have nothing to do with tiberius or claudius but some mad parthian tribesmen who kill their wives so they can't be captured or something like that so i ended up reading some of the more horrifying examples of how not to expand your empire

oh and i finished reading 'vile bodies' on thursday..

i really enjoyed it, it was better than i expected and i loved the matter of fact style it was written in, plus there were some hilarious moments that actually made me cry laughing.

but i also found the storyline quite disappointing..i don't know i'm such a lover of happy endings and i knew that it wouldn't have a happy ending because i'd read enough about it, but i didn't expect to feel so disappointed? i also didn't expect to dislike nina as much as i did. i also didn't realise that agatha runcible would end up the way that she did i found the scenes with her very poignant and distressing to read, a definite contrast with the rest of the novel.

overall i really enjoyed reading it but i don't think that i'd read it again. i'm glad i've read it however, now i just have to analyse it for coursework haha

ahhhh i've been revising literally all day my brain feels like mush :( i started revising at like 11.15 and i didn't stop until 5.15 when my mum & brother got home and i had to get ready for work. i had 2 hours at work and now i'm back...revising again

i've been doing a routine of revising for 20 minutes, then take a 10 minute break...it seems to be going well so far but it seriously could be so so so much better.

i just want to crawl into bed and sleep and forget that frankenstein/macbeth/faustus ever even existed, especially frankenstein because that book makes absolutely no sense to me at all it's just a jumble of words on a page that don't read well together in my opinion.

i've got college tomorrow too which is a bit of an arse tbh
