All I want is a room with a view a sight worth seeing a vision of you all I want is a room with a view I will give you my finest hour the one I spent watching you shower I will give you my finest hour

i feel ridiculously stressed at the moment unless i only think about roman emperors and greek tragedy if i don't just think about that i feel ridiculously guilty about things i am so glad that my exams are next week so that i don't have to think about them anymore

So lately been wondering who will be there to take my place when I'm gone you'll need love to light the shadows on your face if a great wave shall fall it would fall upon us all and between the sand and stone could you make it on your own

tomorrow is my day off and i can finally finish my notes on the emperors and just read them and read them and read them and read them until my exam which is next thursday and i don't know if i can pass haha my first classics exam is on the tuesday but i'm less bothered about it because it's the greek mythology bit and i understand literature much better

but we'll see i suppose

I'm not calling you a liar just don't lie to me I'm not calling you a thief just don't steal from me I'm not calling you a ghost just stop haunting me and I love you so much I'm going to let you kill me

oh and i quite like haemon it's just i don't like saying his name because i'm unsure of how to pronounce it and usually end up saying 'he-man' which evokes this:

rather than something a bit more serious, like this:

And I'd give up forever to touch you because I know that you feel me somehow you're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be and I don't want to go home right now

"Here's a knocking indeed! If a man were porter of hell-gate, he should have old turning the key. Knock, knock, knock! Who's there, i'the name of Beelzebub? Here's a farmer, that hanged himself on the expectation of plenty: come in time; have napkins enow about you; here you'll sweat for't. Knock, knock! Who's there, in the other devil's name? Faith, here's an equivocator, that could swear in both the scales against either scale; who committed treason enough for God's sake, yet could not equivocate heaven: O, come in, equivocator. Knock, knock, knock! Who's there? Faith, here's an English tailor come hither, for stealing out of a French hose: come in, tailor; here you may roast your goose. Knock, knock; never at quiet! What are you? But this place is too cold for hell. I'll devil-porter it no further: I had thought to have let in some of all professions that go the primrose way to the everlasting bonfire. Anon, anon! I pray you, remember the porter." - The Porter's Speech, Macbeth

You move slow like daytime drama and I'm boring like his songs so while I'm taking you for granted we'll be humming along well cross my heart and hope to I'm lying just to keep you here so reckless so so thoughtless so careless I could care less

we watched a really interesting documentary in english literature today we were learning about the plays in context so we looked at how the morality play could be applied to 'dr faustus' as it was a common genre of the time, and then the teacher put on a documentary

it was about equivocation and king james and shakespeare and the gunpowder plot and treason and execution and it was so fascinating

it's an area of history i enjoy and wish i knew more about tbh shakespeare has a special place in my heart anyway so i'm pretty much interested in anything to do with him
